| Nanda is a Dutch singer with a clear and powerful voice. She started singing during her high school time around 1996 in a gothic metal band with some local boys. The band was called 'Interior Sickness' and they made some nice songs where Nanda did the soprano voices. It was fun while it lasted but Nanda realized she really could sing and she wanted to move on. She started with singing lessons from a real opera singer to improve herself. After high-school Nanda went to university to study art history. In this period she joined the band 'Infinite Dawn'. They had a great time but Nanda decided she wanted to go solo. This enabled her to sing more different music styles. In 2003 she left Infinite Dawn.
To prove herself she went to a studio and recorded some demo songs. The demo was nice but the music was rather primitive (midi) and not really representative. Meanwhile she did several song contests that were not all as professional as she had hoped. But at the 'Dutch Talent Song Contest' in spring 2004 she was very successful!!! She had better music to back her up and she won up to the semi finals. There was a drawback in the finance of the organization of the contest so the finals never took place. However there were a lot of people 'in the business' very much interested in Nanda. So here is where her career really started.
